Emma's Birthday Present

I have just finished this shrug for my friends daughter who will be turning 10 next week.

It is made from a wool blend on 4.5mm needles and my own pattern.

Hope she likes it.

Also I made some fingerless mittens for her, so she can wear them when working with her horse in the winter.

Shopping Spree

When to the shops today to buy my sister a birthday present.

When I found myself inside my local Spotlight store.
I went searching for a present for my sister, but I could not see anything that would suit her.
Thats when I realised I was in the knitting section. How did I get there.

This is what I came home with.

4 x 50gms of the pinks Anchor Magicline 100% Cotton Needle size 4.5mm @ $1.50 per ball
4 x 50grms of the Blues Anchor Magicline 100% Cotton Needle siz 4.5mm @ $1.50 per ball
I think I will mark these down for some dish cloths.
2 x 50grms of Hues of Opulence 100% Cotton Needle size 3.25mm. @ a $1.00 per ball

More dish cloths.

6 x 50grms of Moda Vera Supremo in Light Pink 100% Cotton Needle size 4.00mm @ $1.00 per ball

2 x 50grms of Moda Vera Supremo in Dark Pink 100% Cotton Needle size 4.00mm @ $1.00 per ball

This is to knit my new neice a top with.

2 x 100grms of Lion Brand Magic Stripes sock yarn in Blues & Whites 75% Superwash 25% Nylon Needle size 3.5mm.

1 x 100grms in the Blues, Whites & Browns. @$1.00 per ball

Now I will need to learn how to knit socks.

10 x 50grms of Moda Vera Merinos Fine 100% wool Needle size 4.00mm @ $1.00 per ball I bought all they had in this one. As it is going to be for me.

So now I am $35.00 poorer but have enought yarn to knit with.

I did get my sister a present from the Kitchen shop a platter & some candles.

Drink Bottle Covers

I just made these Bottle Covers over the last two days.

As we are going camping starting tomorrow, I thought my girls needed a cover for their drink bottles so they (or me) could tell which bottle was who's.

This one is made from 8ply Australian 100% wool with a mocked cable pattern.

DPN size 4.5mm

My eldest daughter wants this one for work. I think I will have to make another one a bit longer for her drink bottle.

This one is made from 8ply New Zealand 100% wool with a different mocked cable pattern.

DPN size 5.5mm

This one is made from 10ply New Zealand 100% wool using the same pattern as above.

DPN size 5.5mm

This one is made from 12ply Australian 100% wool using a combination of the first pattern with ribs.
DPN size 5.5mm
The last two covers are for my girls and the other two I will give to the other little girls that camp with us.
Still working on the right pattern and tension as the bottles are all different sizes and shapes.
Working on one for me now. See if I can get it finished before to night?

More Dyeing

Have been doing a spot more dyeing in the last few days.
These will be up for sale in February so here is a sneak peak at some sock yarns that I have dyed.

My youngest daughter also tried her hand again at some more dyeing, all she wants to do every day is dye wool.
